Essex Shed Network: Beacon Shed
We run a woodwork shop that caters mainly for retired men, however, we would welcome younger members, with the aim of addressing loneliness, social isolation and helping men to maintain their mental wellbeing. We are all volunteers and we are caring not carers.

In the shed members make mend and repair wooden items for themselves, family, friends and some community projects. If a potential member is identified as having needs beyond our brief, we are able to signpost them to organisations who are qualified to accommodate them. Please note - access is gained through a gate from the A13 London Road (opposite the Bread and Cheese Public House).
Who can use this service?
All men over the age of 18. Sadly, due to lack of space, we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users.
